Are you too thinking about what will be your first travel when this is over?
We’re in a troubled and worrisome time with tons of restrictions on our movements – everywhere in Covid! Not only in my province of New Brunswick, Canada, but globally.
Could we ever have suspected that life, as we’ve known it, would one day be so limiting?
We don’t. We didn’t. How can you ever prepare yourself for something like this?
Paramount in this time tho, no matter, is that we keep our more vulnerable and beloved, safe and healthy. So Joe and I chose to not travel this year.
Not to Joe’s beautiful homeland and family in Germany…
Not to my son in breathtaking Alberta, Canada…
And not to where Joe and I were married with toes in the sand under the hot Caribbean sun – Cuba. We were to celebrate our 15th wedding anniversary there this coming weekend.
Staying Home It Is
Eliza started her March Break this week. We are at home. It’s – 27 celsius this morning with 25 cm of freshly fallen snow and blowing winds. The first thought to pop into my mind this morning as my feet hit the floor was “We could be in Cuba right now.” Oh, Sunwing, take me away!
But it is what it is!
We are home, and we are all safe and healthy. And one day very soon, Covid will have been kicked to the curb and life as we knew it before it turned the entire world upside down, will resume. Joe and I do know tho that when that day comes, we are SO out of here!!
Europe or the Caribbean or to western Canada – we are longing for one as much as the other. Where to first?
Hmmm…
What will be your first travel when this is over?
